Prosthesis

It is a general name given to teeth that are made in place of tooth groups that have been lost for some reasons. Missing teeth are important from an aesthetic point of view and from the point of view of a person's health.

The prosthesis to be applied varies according to the condition of the teeth and mouth structure of the patient with the problem.

FIXED PROSTHESES

Fixed dentures, as the name implies, are types of fixed dentures in which tooth losses that have occurred over time are fixed on the teeth next to the tooth and which the patient perceives as his own tooth or teeth. Crowns, in which material losses on a single tooth are eliminated, or bridges, in which tooth deficiencies are completed by fixing to the side tooth, are called fixed prostheses.

Fixed prostheses, which can also be defined as crown and bridge prostheses, which are the most preferred type of prosthesis today, are applied by taking support from neighboring teeth.

MOVABLE PROSTHESES

Removable dentures are a preferred and frequently applied treatment method when the missing teeth are too much to be compensated with a fixed prosthesis. Removable dentures can be removed and cleaned by the patient and then placed back in the mouth. With today's technology, these prostheses have a very natural appearance in terms of color and appearance and meet the aesthetic needs of the patient in his smile and daily use.
